New ceilings for Employee Savings Plans

2 January 2017 –  The annual ceiling of the French National Health Service (Sécurité Sociale) for 2017 was set by decree at 39.228 euros (Decree of 5 December 2016 published in the Official Journal dated 13 December 2016), which is an increase of 1.6% compared to 2016.

 

The ceilings of employee saving schemes can thus be calculated on this basis:

 

RSP distribution group ceiling (4x PASS): 156,912 €

Individual Ceiling Allocation:

  • Profit-sharing (1/2 of the PASS) : 19,614 €
  • Bonus (1/2 of the PASS) : 19,614 €

The legal ceiling concerning voluntary payments for collaborators or partners’ spouses and employees whose employment contract has been suspended and who have received no remuneration for the year in which payments were made into the PES (Article L3332-10 of the Labour Law) (1/4 of the PASS) : 9.807 €

 

Legal Matching Shares Ceilings:

– PEE/PEG/PEI matching shares (8 % of the PASS) : 3,138.24 €

– in the case of increased matching shares for employee share ownership (14.4 % of the PASS): 5,648.83 €

– PERCO matching shares (16 % of the PASS): 6,276.48 €

– PERCO matching seed shares (2 % of the PASS): 784.56 €
